I designed this calligraphy map for Mellisa and Justin. A couple of New Yorkers, they are getting married in Santa Barbara this summer and wanted something fun for their Save-the-Dates that highlighted all of the inviting attributes the town has to offer guests from across the country. I'm lucky I already live here!

HOLIDAY FETE AT PRIVATE ESTATE

Last week I had the extraordinary pleasure of planning a holiday dinner party at a private Santa Barbara estate. It was right up my alley; very organic and simple. Lots of personal touches with a DIY flair that made it feel very homey and intimate. So fun!

JUNGLE BABY SHOWER I

SO FUN!!!

Saturday was blazing hot in Santa Barbara. I mean, it was Jungle hot! Perfect weather for a jungle-themed co-ed baby shower for Chris and Tami. I absolutely adore this couple. I first met Chris and Tami as their wedding coordinator last year ... so when Tami's mom came to me to plan them a baby shower, I was beyond thrilled (and more than a little honored). P.s. It's a girl! Due this New Year's Eve!

Saturday was the big day ... and it was fabulous. I live for the looks of awe and excitement on clients' faces when they enter one of my events, and these two did not disappoint. I'll be sharing photos this week as quick as I can get them edited and posted ... Here are the first few; I hope you enjoy! xo

The Wedding Salon II

I wanted to share a few of the calligraphy pieces that I created for my tables at The Wedding Salon this past Monday.

These cards are a fun little touch to incorporate into your centerpiece design, or to put on a guest book, gift or escort card table. I created them in a dozen different words from "Dream" and "Love" to "Laugh," "Explore," "Wish," etc. I used a white ink on stardream metallic black cardstock for a dramatic and modern look.
I created these menu cards for my table which was designed by eventures in shades of deep reds, black and gold. The menus were printed in red font with a simple and clean font, mounted on black cardstock and then each one was individually embellished by hand with the couple's names, monogram and the flourish that sits beneath "MENU." A very clean look with classic elegance.

The Wedding Salon I

On Monday, I had the honor of being invited to participate in The Wedding Salon, an upscale bridal show with a lot of flash and glamour. It was both exciting and fun, and I was thrilled by how many friends came out to see me and say hello.

I actually displayed at two tables; the first one dedicated to my event planning persona Donna Romani Events and the second one I partnered with eventures and featured some calligraphy pieces from Bella Copia Calligraphy.
